Danielle leading discussion on AI at the Stanford Real Estate Council (SREC). SREC is designed to be the top 100 Stanford alums in the real estate sector
Danielle Dy Buncio, VIATechnik’s Founder and CEO, moderated a panel on the future of AI for Real Estate at Stanford University for the Stanford Real Estate Council’s annual conference, with panelists, Jeevan Kalanithi of OpenSpace, Clifton Harness of TestFit and Pete Flint of NFX .
Here are Danielle’s key insights:
👉 The level of AI usage in the room is overwhelming greater than this time last year. Nearly everyone is exploring AI in their personal or professional lives. This is significant.
👉 With where we are seeing current trends of AI in real estate there will be a shakeup of how players in the real estate value chain make money. Continuing to bet on you making money due to the industry’s imperfect information is risky business. However, utilizing AI to make the most out of information asymmetry (the information you have that other companies don’t) will be interesting and powerful over the next few years.
👉 AI is definitely one of those “I’m hearing about this thing, what should I be doing with it” technologies. But the conversation in the room reinforced going back to the problem, and the impact that comes from understanding the root of the problem to be solved.
